Skid mounted refrigeration packs by LME UK
LME UK is the sister company of Atlantic Pacific Marine, and is one of the UK’s most highly regarded engineering companies. With a history spanning 50 years, LME UK provides engineering services to multi-nationals such as Dow Corning.
One of the company’s most recent projects has been the production of four skid mounted refrigeration packs for J & E Hall. The production scope was comprehensive and included pipework, electrical panels and wiring, lagging and full insulation. The skids were fabricated by LME UK in its Barry-based workshop.
The largest skid is 8.5m x 6.5m x 5m high, and weighs 44 tonnes. The smallest is 6.4m x 5.4m x 3m high, and weighs 28 tonnes.
Oil separator and bilgemaster system installations, Carnival Australia fleet
During 2014 Atlantic Pacific Marine has installed oil separators and bilgemaster systems throughout Carnival Australia’s fleet.
A60 bulkhead upgrades, Carnival Australia fleet
Atlantic Pacific Marine’s Australian teams are close to completing engine room bulkhead upgrades to every ship in Carnival Australia’s fleet.
MBR (Membrane Bio Reactor) upgrade for Wartsila
This 6 month project has now been completed, and was undertaken whilst the Ruby Princess was in-service. Atlantic Pacific Marine had already completed the MBR upgrades on the Grand Princess and the Crown Princess cruise ships.
Compressor installation, Ruby Princess and Emerald Princess
Subcontracting to Johnson Control Ltd, Atlantic Pacific Marine teams swapped out old compressors for new on both the Ruby Princess and the Emerald Princess. Each new compressor weighed 3 tonnes, and full testing was included within the project scope.
