ADG PROJECT (ADDITIONAL DIESEL GENERATOR)
This project involved the removal of a 70 ton evaporator to allow space for a new 300 ton engine. Every single pipe which ran through the compartment had to be re-routed to make space for the engine, and a route for the new exhaust was created through the casing from decks 3 through to 18. In March 2014, we saved a major cruise operator almost a week of out-of-service days when we were tasked with removing one of their liner’s 132 ton Sulzer ZA40S engines.
We used diamond wire saw technology to cut the Sulzerinto 32 separate sections en-voyage; the sections were then lifted out and off loaded, enabling ultra-fast engine replacement once the liner had dry docked in the Grand Bahama Shipyard. In all, our innovative process saved six dry docked days.

WASTE WATER MANAGEMENT (MBR)
MEMBRANE Bio REACTOR
A ship’s existing Trident tanks had to be converted for this project, which saw us undertaking steel work upgrades and then splitting the tanks into 2 separate compartments.
Different stainless steel tanks and skids were fabricated in our UK workshops and shipped to the vessel for installation.
All pipe work for this project was 316L stainless steel, and all works were completed while the ship was in active service, saving the operator costly out of service days.
BALLAST WATER PIPE LINES
We’ve changed and upgraded large bore pipework on various vessels; also installed ballast water treatment plants.
EVAPORATOR REMOVAL AND MAINTENANCE
Removing these large items is no easy task. They’re normally made out of copper and mild steel and take a long time to weld-cut and disassemble. We use an innovative diamond wire cutting method, which enables us to make fast, clean cuts; and as there is no hot work involved, there are no fume or fire risks.
STRUCTURAL STIFFENING AND TANK WORK
We’re renowned for our steel works, and amongst other projects, have undertaken: full bow strengthening; tank rebuilds and repairs; double bottom repairs; cofferdam repairs.
