In January 2022 APM implemented a four-day work week (4DWW) trial in both UK offices. After 6 months of the implementation, primary research was conducted in order to investigate the impact the 4DWW had on employee wellbeing. Employee wellbeing and welfare is of upmost importance to the Senior team at APM and is one of the core values of the company.
Both questionnaires and interviews were conducted in order to gain feedback from employees. Results showed all employees have experienced some signs of increased wellbeing since starting the 4DWW. Many employees reporting they used their additional day off in order to exercise, relax and spend more time with friends and family.
It was essential to APM that all customer needs were still met and as well as improvements to wellbeing, increased productivity was also evident.
APM will continue to monitor the employee led initiative as well as others in order to ensure APM continues to be a happy and positive work environment.
